Review: Make Up Revolution Stick Foundation

I had seen this foundation advertised and I just could not wait to use it. I'm usually a liquid foundation kinda girl but a stick foundation always crossed my mind as its more compact and also it kinda feels like your painting your face which I love to do. A lot of people rave about the more higher end stick foundations such as the one from Hourglass or Make Up Forever but I tend to lean towards drugstore make up as growing up with not a lot of money, I learnt to value what I had and sometimes is not always about the price tag.

The Make Up Revolution Foundation Stick is presented well with nice structured packaging with gold writing which makes it that bit more sophisticated. Once the lid is off, you then just twist up and the stick pops up. It is not stiff at all, it is very creamy which I prefer as then it doesn't tug on the skin. It has quite a good shade range but I'm sure could probably feature a few more colours.

I use shade F1 which is the lightest shade for my pale skin. I apply this over primer in strokes over my cheeks, chin and forehead. I do feel like it tends to sink into the pores in my nose. It also doesn't look like it gives good coverage in certain places but that might be because of how I apply it. Maybe a beauty blender might be better for application than a paddle brush.

Have you tried this foundation?

My Time In Palma Nova, Mallorca

I've not long been back from Palma and I'm still sad that I'm not there currently. I was there for 3 days as a little surprise for one of my friends who turned 21 and we all did so well to keep it a secret. We stayed at the Sol Beach Hotel and it was the perfect location for food, shops and a good old karaoke bar and a few Sex On The Beach cocktails. It also did a nice breakfast and had the perfect view of the beach and the ocean.

There was a beautiful pier close to our hotel and it was the perfect place to capture lots of pictures and also take in the amazing views.

On Sunday 15th, we was lucky enough to be able to lay on the beach and have a sunbathing day (we all got sunburn). It was lovely to feel the sun on my skin and paddle in the sea.

I had an amazing trip here, thank you to all the people I went with on this holiday

Birchbox: March 2018

Recently, I re signed up for Birchbox after a while so I thought I would share what was inside the March box. Not only was it a groovy designed box but also featured the new Benefit Bag Gal Bang Mascara! I tried it out yesterday and I have to admit, it gives you those spider lashes but ya gal isn't complaining.

1. Oribe Wave and Shine Spray

I've heard about this spray from the blogging/youtubing community but never actually got round to using it. I'll be mainly using this when I've curled my hair and want a little more volume and shine to my hair.

2. Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara

The new Benefit mascara is here and I was pretty excited to try this. I mentioned a little bit about this at the top of the post and it really does give you those extra black spidery lashes.

3. Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask

Eye masks are a great invention and as I have dark under eyes, I feel like it is a necessity. I tried this out on Friday. It was very refreshing and very moisturising.

4. Manna Kadar Bronzer & Highlighter Duo

I had never really heard of this brand and I must admit for full size, it is quite small! Nevertheless, I swatched it on my hand and it is pigmented.

5. Baija Gommage Festin Body Scrub

I really love a good body scrub and I can't wait to use it. I like that its quite small and I could take it in my gym bag for when I shower after.

I wonder what next month will bring..

Insta Glam Make Up

Searching through my make up collection, I came across some make up bits that I hadn't used in quite some time. I tend to stick with the same eye make up look as I have known to try new things and it goes horribly wrong. However, in order to learn and grow.. we must make mistakes. Today I fancied doing a red ish eye with an ombre lip which I feel is extra AF glam.. perfect for the gram.

Eyeshadows:
Nars Duo in Hammamet
Maybelline Total Temptation Palette
Barry M Natural Glow 2 Palette

Lips:
MAC Soar Lip Liner
Sleek Matte Me Lipstick
L'Oreal Matte Lipstick

Highlight:
Benefit Watts Up
Maybelline Total Temptation Palette

My Current Workout Routine

Keeping up with the fitness posts (I'll try not to spam, I just have such a fitness brain on at the moment) I wanted to share with you my current workout routine. Usually, I tend to stick with classes that are offered at the gym because I feel that I need guidance when doing a workout and I feel like it actually makes more of an impact. Recently however I have been taking inspiration from YouTube and Instagram videos and have made a exercise routine for when I just fancy doing my own thing. I am by no means a fitness guru of any kind and I'm totally ok with that. I'm just your regular gal who goes to the gym just to de-stress and keep myself in shape.

Warm Up:

As I have been told, it is so important to warm up before exercise. My warm up is usually a 10 minute power walk on the treadmill. I am yet to do a run on the treadmill but I get too scared... am I the only one? No one wants to face plant in the gym do they. I then do a few little stretches just to make sure I'm all ready to exercise.

Work Out:

This particular work out mainly focuses on the ab area mainly but I'm sure it works other parts of the body too.

3 Rounds - 10 Reps of Each Exercise

1. Bicycle Crunches
2. Ab Reaches
3. Sit Ups (I use a weight with this but it can be done without)
4. Mountain Climbers
5. Leg Raises (I use a weight but can be done without)
6. Weighted Hip Dips
7. Weighted Squats

This can be altered to anyone's preference. I really find that my 'abs' ache the day after and I feel a little proud of myself for doing it. The gym can be so daunting especially if you go by yourself but if you stick your headphones in and concentrate on the workout, you're well away. I was thinking of doing a little Instagram video showing this workout just to have a clearer idea of what they look like and how they merge together.

What is your favourite workout routine?

My Holiday To Lanzarote 2018

My Instagram is filled with pictures from my holiday so I thought why not add a blog post to the mix too. Have any of you been to Lanzarote before? This was my first time and I had such a lovely time. Not only were the views spectacular but the atmosphere was calming and euphoric. I stayed at the Grand Teguise Playa for 5 nights, all inclusive. It was a pleasant stay.

The views were incredible and the sea was a beautiful blue, I couldn't quite believe it. These rocks were actually from the volcanoes as they are quite dark in colour that represents the lava. I luckily was able to learn a little bit more about the island on the transfer journey from the airport.

Isn't it breath taking? I thought I would let the pictures do the talking. The above building was a church in the markets where I went to. It was nice to branch out of the hotel and see more of the island.

Make Up:
Mac Prolongwear Foundation NW15
Collection Lasting Perfection Fair
Barry M Loose Powder
Kiko Bronzer & Blusher
Maybelline Total Temptation Eyeshadow / Highlighter Palette
Loreal Double Extension Mascara
Maybelline Eyebrow Gel
Mac 'Soar' Lip Liner & Sleek Matte Me Lipstick

Sunglasses Primark
Cocktail Sex on the Beach

Would you ever go to Lanzarote? I will be going again as I had such an amazing vibe from the island. However, I don't think I would go in February again as it did rain and wasn't always the warmest but none the less I still loved it very much. Where are you going on your holidays?
